Got to see the 1964 Japanese Toho Classic Mothra vs. Godzilla! What made it even better was seeing it with my son Jake, who grew up watching the Japanese versions of Godzilla and Gamera before he could walk and talk! Lol And this theatre had beer, and not just any beer, but Local Hudson Valley beer from Chatham, NY. We had the Pilsner. There is nothing like seeing a classic film like this with people who are into it as much as you. There was a pre-movie warm-up with audience participation of the Blue Öyster Cult song Godzilla, that really set the tone for me as I'm a huge fan of the band, and then there was an interesting trivia about the US version of the film release as it was it call Godzilla vs The Thing here! All in All I had a terrific time and will definitely check out the theater again soon!
A great small and welcoming local theater. I was there volunteering for the weekend with the Woodstock Film Festival.
**The only theater I've been to that serves libations.
Fantastic annual burlesque show (Hung With Care)! Renovated theater and lobby space with a warm Covid-safe atmosphere. Looking forward to the next show. Will join as a supporting member of this excellent organization.
First time there, saw an amazing showing of Arrival!! A great film, worth seeing on the big screen!! Snacks are reasonably priced and staff were so welcoming and helpful!! We'll definitely be back again!!
Attended a wedding here. Nice feel of nostalgia. I’d add a star if the place was renovated but kept the same charm.
Only went one time as I'm not a big movie person. It's a cute little spot and offers a unique experience. It's old and not really "up to date" but that's what gives it its charm! It's close to me so I would consider going again.. dinner down the street and a movie.
This place is extremely rough as for a decor but very clean and functional. The sound system was great as well as the staff.
Lovely local run old time theater with interesting programming.
A great little movie theater that doesn't show the same old same old movies that everybody else is showing. I love the old silent films with a piano player. In December they were having silent Sunday showing a silent film every Sunday. That is the kind of thing that makes me give him five stars.
A little community theatre with wonderful staff and a great lineup. The theatre is more than a century old. I recommend silent movies on Sundays for movie lovers.
